Larson Creek Trail to be extended from Ellendale to Black Oak in 2019
by Jeff Roberts on Dec, 11 2018
This update is courtesy of the Medford Public Works Department. I learned at the December BPAC (Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee) meeting that the Larson Creek Trail will be extended from Ellendale to Black Oak in 2019. This trail currently goes from the Greenway (just under the freeway, south of Barnett) to Ellendale. The project is now out to bid, and the estimated completion time is the end of 2019.
This trail extension will allow bikers and pedestrians coming east from the Greenway to avoid busy Barnett. That’s a very good thing.
You can see the status of the project, including maps of the extension, on this Public Works project page. You can also see all the Public Works projects here.
The plan is to eventually extend this the Larson Creek Trail all the way to Phoenix Rd – no date yet for that, but you can see details of the plan on this page – click on Chapter 6.
