Mountain Lion Sighting - continued
I had stopped by that time and realized I’d better make some noise; that’s what bike bells are for. So I rang my bell and then decided I’d better make more noise by taking some large rocks and throwing them into the branches on the nearby fir trees. The rocks crashed through the dry limbs and tumbled down the steep mountainside making more noise as they went. I thought, can a steel bike frame be an effective defense against a mountain lion attack? After waiting a suitably long time for the mountain lion to be on its way, I too continued on my ride finishing the day with 27.5 miles and 3,500 feet elevation gain.
Still don’t know which ride? It is this one.
