Up & Down Ride on July 20 now open for registration
The fourth annual Up & Down: Ride the Cascade Siskiyou Scenic Bikeway is scheduled for July 20. Registration is open at upanddownashland.com. (The previously published link was incorrect).
The Scenic Bikeway route, aka mountain lakes loop, is our iconic shorter route at 49 miles and 4900’ of climbing. The second route this year is The Spencer Creek which features 96 miles with 7800’ of climbing. Both leave Emigrant Lake and climb the Greensprings Hwy where The Green Springs Inn hosts a lavish breakfast on their tree-shaded lawn. Further water and rest stops are on the two courses, as well as extensive SAG support for any rider who needs a boost or encouragement. A delicious Bar-b-q lunch and craft beer are served at the finish where riders stop to enjoy their success and visit with other riders.
Jefferson Public Radio is a title sponsor this year and will be alerting riders all over Oregon and Northern California of our “best of the best” ride. This year we are offering the opportunity for a group of 4 riders to register for the price of 3. Gather your friends and sign up soon. Registration will close at 250 riders.
Many of the volunteers who are instrumental in making this ride so successful and friendly are Club riders. The Velo Club is immensely helpful in putting this ride on. Come on out and have a great day in the mountains!
