Glacier Ride

by Dennis Cramer on Jul, 17 2018

The three amigos shown here at the top of the last major pass in Washington state.  The tour was a west to east trip from Sedro-Wooley to the top of Logan Pass in Glacier National Park and then back to Columbia Falls, MT.  We traveled the North Cascades Hwy for much of the travel through Washington.  We covered 870 miles and climbed 44,000′ on our trek.    We had 4 days of rain while on our trip but most occurred while we were in our tents.  One particularly bad day we were out riding in a downpour for 2 1/2 hours.  This was a leg from Libby, MT to Eureka, MT and covered 78 miles along Lake Koocanusa.  I love touring and would go again even with the adverse conditions we saw that day.
