More Money for Bicycle Improvements
by Gary Shaff on Feb, 21 2019
An Oregon legislative bill could dramatically increase funding for bicycle improvements in the Rogue Valley. You can help influence the legislation by voicing your support for more bicycle funding at a February 23rd public hearing at Central Medford High School Auditorium, 815 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford. The meeting starts at 9:00am. The legislation, referred to as Cap-and-Trade – HB 2020, could provide substantial funding for “all ages and abilities” bicycle improvements and help to make bicycling in our communities “safe and convenient,” a requirement of the Oregon Transportation Planning Rule.
