BTI Maintenance Dec 3, 12:30
by admin on Nov, 23 2016
There is another afternoon trail-work day coming up. Here are the details:
WHAT: Maintain and improve the popular BTI mountain bike trail.
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 3. We’ll work until 4:30 (with plenty of breaks!) Please arrive early (12:15) to fill out once-a-year waivers if you haven’t already.
We’ll meet at the usual parking area by Rich’s trail, above Lithia Park. This is near the Waterline and Bandersnatch trailhead. There is lots of parking.
Gloves and water, snacks maybe. Wear sturdy boots. Rain jacket? (BTW, rain does not cancel)
Beer and Pizza to Follow: Sponsored by Ashland and Medford Cycle Sport.
Stuff to Know:
AWTA will provide tools. We’ll divide into groups; each group will have an experienced “trail boss” with them to provide instruction about how to proceed. You do not need to be an experienced trail builder. No Children Under Age 15. Under 17 needs signature of parent/guardian. Hiking on side slopes. Small amounts of poison oak off trail, but hard to see this time of year.
Pass it on.
