Back in the Saddle - Ride Series
by Gary Shaff on May, 5 2015
This final ride of the spring Back in the Saddle ride series is is scheduled for May 9. This series of rides is for adult riders who want to get back on their bikes and enjoy the benefits of physical exercise in a group setting. Ken Kelley, the Club’s ride leader, will teach techniques, skills, and etiquette of riding in groups, in the relative safety of the Bear Creek Greenway.
The ride will start at the Hawthorne Park (south parking lot) at 10:00 a.m. and follow the Greenway to Central Point. The ride will include the nice new section of the Greenway adjacent to the fairgrounds. The distance planned out and back is 12 miles. The route includes no significant hills. The pace will be 8-10 mph on the flat, with opportunities for resting at viewpoints along the way.
For more information email Ken or phone at (541) 857-6819.
