Ashland Watershed - Trail and Road Closures
by Gary Shaff on Dec, 7 2015
Beginning tomorrow, December 8th another phase of fuels reduction and forest restoration work will begin in the Ashland Watershed. The majority of this work will be accomplished by helicopter to minimize impacts to sensitive soils. Work will take place in the Lamb Saddle area seven days a week, weather permitting.
For public safety, the following trails and roads will be closed from December 8th to December 24th including weekends:
* Catwalk, Upper Caterpillar, Marty’s, Toothpick, and Lamb Mine Trail
* The 2060 road will be closed above the White Rabbit parking area where the Caterpillar Trail crosses the 2060 road up past Four Corners all the way to the road access gate at the 2080-600 road junction.
* The Upper and Lower Eastview Trails will be closed from December 8th until further notice.
* Periodic closures on Tolman Creek Road can be expected during log truck hauling.
Signs will be posted at all locations during closures. Updated information is provided on the AFR Project website at www.ashlandwatershed.org.
