Stopping
by Gary Shaff on Feb, 19 2016
Did you happen to read the blog post on this topic in the sidebar “Blogs and News?” If not, you can catch it HERE. In Oregon, bicyclists must stop at stop signs and traffic lights when red; i.e. cease forward motion. The law doesn’t require that you put a foot down but that’s prudent behavior if you are at a four-way stop and a law enforcement officer is stopped at another leg of the intersection. Otherwise, a trackstand works and avoids having to clip-out and clip back in. The nice thing about stop signs is that they offer an opportunity to work on a cycling skill that, otherwise, you seldom use. Check out this LINK to learn how to do a trackstand!
