Southern Oregon's Premier Cycling Club

Crater Lake - Bikes & Peds only until 5/15

by Gary Shaff on May, 4 2015

The low snow pack and warm spring temperatures have allowed the National Park Service to clear enough snow from West Rim Drive and the North Entrance Road to allow travel on foot or by bicycle. The roads will be open exclusively to cyclists and walkers while crews work to clear the roads for summer’s vehicle traffic. Road crews will remove ongoing minor spring rock fall and encroaching snow banks, aiming to open the Park’s north entrance to all traffic on May 15. For park information, call  541.594.3100.
