2017 Mt. Ashland Hill Climb Race Results
by Dennis Cramer on Sep, 6 2017
The Mt. Ashland Hill Climb Race is over for this year. The race took place on August 27th on a somewhat smoky day. The race starts at Lithia Park and goes to the ski lodge parking area. This is a 24.5 mile race with about 5000 feet of elevation gain. It is a neutral start from Lithia Park until just past Emigrant Lake. The weather was warm at the start and mild at the finish at the ski area. The club was well represented in several of the categories. The picture shown below is the winners of the 60+ Men’s 4/5 category. First place was Dennis Cramer, second place was Shane Spano, and third place was Dan Morse. All are Siskiyou Velo club members.
The Men’s 40-59 Category 4/5 also had a Siskiyou Velo member as the 1st place winner. Bob MacCracken took this title. A podium photo of all the winners is shown below.
This is a great showing by club riders and an outstanding event for the valley.
