Club Social Events - 2018
The annual Ride of Silence is scheduled for May 16, 7:00 PM at Hawthorne Park. Be sure to get this event on your calendar. Please remember that the ride STARTS at 7:00pm so please arrive early enough to get set up and listen to a few words from our Medford City police escort. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. The Ride of Silence serves as a reminder to all road users to follow the rules of the road, respect the rights of others, and recognize that people riding bicycles have a legitimate and legal right to use the roadways.
The Annual BBQ and Bike Wash has been scheduled for Saturday, July 14 from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at Mark Moran’s house, 1655 Minear Road, Medford. Register here. This is a great opportunity to share in the fun of cycling, get your bike washed, and enjoy a delicious BBQ with your riding buddies. Proceeds from the event help to support the Club’s various advocacy campaigns. Participate in a Club ride on Saturday morning and join in the BBQ in the afternoon. While there have your bike washed.
The revised date for the ICE CREAM Social is Saturday, September 15 from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at Colver Park, city of Phoenix. Advanced registration is not required and there is no fee for participating. Don’t miss this much anticipated Club event.
The Club’s Annual Meeting / Holiday Party will be held at a new location, the American Legion Post at 100 E. Jackson St, Medford, on December 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for socializing, conversing, eating, and a bit of imbibing. This will be a “potluck” style event with beer and wine available. Please register for the event here. (ignore the final confirmation page – it’s a bug. The location is American Legion Post 15 this year.)
